Conservative MP Blaine Calkins' Bromance

Either the Alberta Conservative MP has a thing for the late Charlton Heston or he has a love of a darker kind.

  1. Every year 12000 people are murdered in U.S. Vast majority by guns. Yet no attempt is made to control guns. It is God given right for Americans to own guns. Canada wants to catch up. Harper is speeding up the process. So sad.

    1. From my perspective, LD, the Harper view of what is important to Canadians is a gross perversion of our values.

  3. About Heston's little vanity rant, I always thought the sooner the better.

  4. I'm a gun owner, Lorne. I have a couple of hunting rifles and an heirloom shotgun. No one is threatening me or any other Canadian with confiscation and this jackass knows that. Why do they find it so easy to blow smoke up loyal Tories' asses? It's like poking a pen full of feral animals with a stick.

  6. Are they just trying to please the Rabid Right? Why did Flaherty invoke the name of Maggie Thatcher last night, during an interview about his 'plans'?

    1. Tunnel vision and an absolute lust to retain power seem to be the Harper regime's defining characteristics, Anon.
